Every Business Stands on Something. We're the Layers Underneath.
DaStrata isn't a made-up word. It's a small thesis about how success actually gets built.
The Layers
Strata is Latin for layers laid down over time — the way rock builds beneath a mountain, compressed under the weight of everything above it. You never see it. You only see that the mountain stands.
That's the work we do. Architecture. Risk. Governance. Continuity. Strategy. None of it shows up in the finished product. All of it is the reason the finished product doesn't fall over the first time it's tested.
The Root It Shares With "Strategy"
Strata and strategy trace back to the same ancient root: to deliberately spread something across a foundation, arranged to hold. One word became the layers beneath a mountain. The other became an army arranged to win.
We build the version that's built to last.
Where We Come From
Da — from, of. The same prefix that sits in front of da Vinci: not a name on its own, a marker of origin.
Put the two together and DaStrata says what it means: not a company that sells you a strategy, a company that comes from the layers a real one has to be built on.
What That Means for You
We don't start with the pitch deck. We start with the layer underneath it — the architecture, the risk model, the governance, the plan for what happens when something breaks — so that whatever gets built on top is still standing years from now, not just on launch day.
That discipline is DaStrata Advisory, built directly on our own track record in enterprise architecture and risk. It's also DaStrata Studio, the same discipline applied one layer higher, building AI products for startups that are meant to last past the demo.
Two divisions. One name. One reason for both: success isn't one decision made at the top. It's every layer laid down correctly underneath it.
DaStrata: the layers you're standing on, whether you know it or not.
